1. Who We Are

AARUNYA Web Solutions ("Company", "we", "us", "our") is the developer and operator of BillZen, a GST billing and business management software. We are based in Madhya Pradesh, India.

2. Data We Collect

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate BillZen software features
• To send transactional emails (welcome, invoice confirmations, subscription alerts)
• To provide customer support via WhatsApp or email
• To send product updates and new feature announcements (you can unsubscribe)
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• To comply with applicable Indian laws (GST records, etc.)

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in two layers:

• Local Storage (Browser): Encrypted by the browser. Works 100% offline.
• Firebase Realtime Database: Google Cloud Infrastructure with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit. Data center: Mumbai / Singapore (asia-southeast1).

We implement Firebase security rules that restrict data access to the authenticated user only. Admin access is verified server-side — no client-side bypass possible.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:

• Google Firebase — Cloud database and authentication (Google's Privacy Policy applies)
• Resend / SMTP — Email delivery service (only your email address and name shared)
• Razorpay — Payment processing (governs separately under Razorpay's Privacy Policy)
• Legal requirements — If required by Indian law enforcement with a valid court order

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days post-cancellation (for data recovery requests). After that, data is permanently deleted from our servers.

Your local browser storage persists until you manually clear it.

7. Your Rights (Data Principal Rights under DPDPA 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

• ✅ Erasure — Request deletion of your account and all data
• ✅ Nomination — Nominate a person to manage your data in case of your incapacity

8. Cookies & Analytics

BillZen uses only essential technical cookies for authentication session management. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics like Google Analytics on the main app.

9. Children's Privacy

BillZen is a business software and is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you by email at least 15 days before any material changes to this Privacy Policy. We will also update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
